Quinlan Medical Management: A Legacy of Compassion, A Future of Innovation

When Claire Quinlan stepped into the role of CEO at Quinlan Medical Management (QMM) in 2022, she wasn’t just continuing a family legacy—she was building on it with a bold vision for the future.

Since its founding in 2004 by her mother, Patricia Quinlan, QMM has been synonymous with quality, compassion, and excellence in medical case management. Today, under Claire’s leadership, that foundation remains strong—while the company expands into new territories, adapts to a changing industry, and continues to raise the bar in the workers’ compensation community.

Patricia, a nursing veteran whose career began in catastrophic case management in 1979, built QMM with a clear purpose: to advocate for injured workers through expert care and unwavering integrity. With Claire at the helm, the company has grown its reach to more than twenty states and continues to be guided by the same principles of personalized care, clinical excellence, and inclusive support.

QMM is widely recognized for its expertise in handling complex cases, including brain and spinal cord injuries, multi-trauma, and crisis intervention. The team works hand-in-hand with insurance carriers, employers, and injured individuals to ensure prompt return-to-work outcomes while helping manage costs and reduce long-term risks.

Behind the scenes, leaders like Wendy Licht, QMM’s Administrative Manager based in Wisconsin, and Barbara Brutus, the company’s long-standing Regional Supervisor, help keep the operation running with heart and precision. Wendy, a proud U.S. Veteran who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom, brings unmatched attention to detail to her role, while Barbara—known industry-wide for her ability to quickly assess and resolve even the most challenging situations—has been an integral part of QMM’s success for nearly two decades.

With an evolving healthcare and insurance landscape, QMM is adapting thoughtfully. Recognizing the growing role of artificial intelligence, Claire is focused on using technology as a tool—one that enhances, rather than replaces, the human touch that’s so central to QMM’s values. “AI can be helpful, but oversight is key,” she shares. “At QMM, it’s people first—always.”

That philosophy is part of what sets QMM apart. The company doesn’t just manage claims—it builds relationships. Clients know they can count on QMM for transparency, proactive communication, and true collaboration. It’s no surprise that QMM has been recognized as one of the top woman-owned companies in Florida for four consecutive years—a reflection of its commitment to both industry leadership and empowerment.

As QMM continues to grow and evolve, one thing remains constant: the belief that every case deserves personal attention and care. With strong leadership, a dedicated team, and a clear mission, QMM is not just keeping up with the future of case management—it’s leading the way.
